Lately I've been buried in design work (gotta pay the bills!), but I had a quick chance to paint this little business card-sized ninja today. I'll be doing several more tiny paintings to bring down to LA next week to dish out to people, perhaps. Our trip is for fun, and hopefully I'll run into some cool artist folks while we're there if we're lucky. I'll be headed to Lynne Naylor's solo show at MModern Gallery on the 13th. Anyone else going?

Hah, great stuff man, super cute.
haha, that's great! Did you use a frisket/cel?
Your little business card paintings are really nice work... I hope they get you noticed! Thanks for sharing your process on the blog, very interesting to see... I must work on my acrylic/gouache skills, gives me something to aim for! Thanks also for the Sam Jack background posts...in fact great blog all round sir! Thanks for the kind words about mine, glad you like my humble offerings.
Thank you, kindly Sirs!
Patrick, don't worry. No friskets or cels were harmed in the making of this painting. All done with simple, layered brushwork.
Good textures! Keep em coming.
Haha! I almost said "nice palette knife work!" You're too good with a brush my friend. Can't wait to see more!!
