Turtle Painting

Howdy there! Here's a new painting for my upcoming solo show set for December 12th at Schmancy in Seattle. I realize that's a couple months off yet, but I have to get all my paintings done by the end of October to have them photographed and sent to the framer in time. I'll remind you again later, but please mark your calendar or write it on one of your hundreds of yellow post-its!

LA Trip

Back from our whirlwind LA trip. Lynne's solo show at MModern gallery was fantastic, where we got to meet and chat with some of my art heroes. Everybody was so gracious, humble, nice and down to earth. Don't these people realize how great they are? :)

We also hit Disneyland for the first time in my life, which was so awesome. I'm so amazed by the amount of work, detail and artistry that has gone into every single Disney ride. We'll definitely have to visit again!

A Few Cards

I wanted to get more of these done before our trip, but I took on a design project that ate up my time. These are the 3 I did finish.

Little Ninja Card

Lately I've been buried in design work (gotta pay the bills!), but I had a quick chance to paint this little business card-sized ninja today. I'll be doing several more tiny paintings to bring down to LA next week to dish out to people, perhaps. Our trip is for fun, and hopefully I'll run into some cool artist folks while we're there if we're lucky. I'll be headed to Lynne Naylor's solo show at MModern Gallery on the 13th. Anyone else going?
