Had a great time at the Creature Feature opening on Saturday. Astoria is a fun little place. The gallery was warm, welcoming and modern and there was lots of foot traffic. Here are a few photos.
Andrea and Matthew Porter relaxing.
With the missus and friends.
I also got to do a watercolor and gouache plein air sketch of the Peter Iredale shipwreck off the Oregon coast at Fort Stevens. Something I'd like to do more often.

Nice pics of Lunar Boy and a good job on the shipwreck...
Wow, looks like a great showing! The gallery has a nice open feel to it. Looks like you were varying between metal and wood in the framed pieces?
that show looks fun!
great looking show, Drake! I am enjoying my chicken of the sea postcard image very much. Let's hook up for dinner soon, next week or two. Say hi to Tracy and the little one!
Looks like it was a great show! Awesome.
As always, wish I was in the States whenever you have a show (and not just because there's free drink :) "Chick of the sea" is a delight to behold, very restrained, confident palette! Very much look forward to seeing how your toucan struts his/her stuff.
Look like a wonderful show!! Beautiful painting!
aww everything looks so cool! I wish I could attend a show like this around here.
Thanks very much, everybody! Wish I could've brought the whole lot of ya along for the fun.
nwlimited - thanks!
Andy - the metal frame is wood too, but has a metallic paint finish.
Lorelay - thanks!
Ian - thanks! we are down for dinner. just say the word.
Roque - thanks, sir!
Matt - perhaps not, but the free drinkypoo never hurts. thanks for the kind words and looking forward to comparing toucans. no, that's not a euphemism.
Alina - thanks very much!
Mitch - thanks, buddy! one day, hopefully the stars will align... or something.
