More Sam Jack bgs from episode 33. These were painted by Scott Wills and Jenny Gase-Baker, two outstanding bg painters (obviously). I love the variety in the backgrounds throughout this show. It really does make for a cinematic feel... more so than any cartoon series I know of. Copyright Genndy Tartakovsky and Cartoon Network. Please enjoy!
BTW, these are screencaps from the DVDs (that you should all own!). I'm not affiliated with the show, just a big fan of the artists involved and their amazing work.
I promise I'll post something secret I've been working on (slowly) soon.

The sponge trees and bushes are pretty cool.
Very inspirational.
Thanks for posting these up :)
I recently found your blog while looking for some Samurai Jack pictures.
It took me until today to view all your posts and your art.
You are very talented and I hope to see your "secret".
your backgrounds are my favorite of all backgrounds!
Thanks guys. Just so there's no confusion, these are not MY bgs, but belong to the talented folks that worked on Samurai Jack. I'm just posting them up because I love the show and can learn a lot by studying them.
